I was born and grew up in Aridoamerica. Was very happy when I discovered your substack about a month ago. I already believed in the "deindustrial future" as imagined by people like John Michael Greer, and have read Toynbee and Spengler and I mostly agree with their ideas about how new high cultures form at the boundaries of old ones. So of course your speculations about what is arising right now in my homeland are very fascinating for me. Keep them coming!
The other main reason I believe it isn’t just culture intermixing but there’s a lot of strange things that happen there and the people their more reflect the Sonora desert and New Mexican highlands than they do border western or even Latin American culture. How an area with the demography of the southern cone and thinks more like Bolivia but believe in freedom harder than the rest of the US.
The cultural, artistic, and spiritual ethos all fundimentally point to something entirely new. The spiritual aspect is seriously understated on my end.
I have many friends and family in Aridoamerica who just want to be left alone to live their lives in peace. For them, the "Faustians" are virtual madmen whose greed and anxiety to control the world seem like the height of insanity. They want nothing to do with these criminal enterprises.

How do you view the impact of the "Faustians" now expanding their endless wars and engaging in global genocide via the planscamdemic?
Seems pretty par for the course for their constant expansion ethos. I think it’s bound to alienate large swathes of the world.

That is the core Aridoamerican thing to think. And they are 100% right about the Faustian model becoming demonic.
Let’s rewrite what they forgot:
Wealth is who you hold.
Profit is peace you sold.
Legacy is love untold.
